Osage & Sequoia Bar Table ~ This bar table combines two species of wood that tell a cool story about where I am from and where I am now. Osage orange, or hedge-apple trees, are popular in the Midwest for their extreme durability and rot resistance qualities. Giant Sequoia on the other hand is one of the softest woods in America and found only on the West Coast in specific environments. This sequoia happened to be rotting from the inside out making only the outside ~6” of the trunk usable. But I’m so glad I was able to salvage the good stuff because it’s so beautiful.
